Through the elements and the formation of the Islamic architectural vacuum that distinguishes mosques, the role of domes and lighthouses was embodied. How they merge with each other in an organic form and how to strip these elements to reach a homogeneous architectural form and was referred to the role of the vacuum surrounding the mosque and being a vacuum complementary to the internal vacuum, and provided coverage of all external spaces and through the need to add modern and sustainable technologies such as solar energy and other engineering techniques, such as the entry and movement of wind inside the mosque and in the internal vacuum of the mosque with formation.

The buildings form a connected block interspersed with courtyards and open spaces, with a central square surrounded by covered pedestrian pathways. Two gateways allow entry into the Diplomatic Quarter center. The ground floor level is dedicated to pedestrians, and the movement of vehicles and parking is planned to be situated below the ground level. The mosque's block stands out distinctly from the rest of the buildings, and it is distinguished by two tall minarets aligned with the direction of the Qibla (Mecca), aiding in orientation and identifying the center's location within the quarter.

The urban design attempted to solve the complexity of the task and its urban context in the absence of commercial and office spaces within the main functions. Thus, a continuous square was designed that penetrates public buildings and extends to the surrounding streets, creating a human fabric of pedestrian pathways. Local authorities suggested that it was now an opportunity to achieve the maximum green spaces in the heart of the city and voted against introducing office and commercial buildings. While this led to an area lacking in diverse commercial and private functions, it created a new type of urban void. It became a cultural hub for the city and a recreational area for people of various ages and social backgrounds from the densely populated surrounding areas. A plaza with a hundred palm trees, the national tree, symbolizing this occasion, was introduced in the center. This cultural and landscape complex received numerous international awards for its contribution to the city.

Through the Looking Glass Inspired by the mystique and miracle of sight and perspective , this architectural wonder uses transparency as its protective shell , giving it a marvelously contradictive function to its design elements and concepts. To see the unseen and hide the obvious is what this design is based on, with the repetitiveness of transparent glass the design offers a new perspective to the viewer. Choosing glass , a material that originates from a process of transforming sand particles offers a complimentary original detail to the architectural concept.
